A contemporary 2-storey residence designed to sit lightly on a steep hillside in Plai Laem, Koh Samui. The architecture responds directly to the natural contours of the land, preserving the terrain while maximizing unobstructed sea views from every level.
The villa is elevated on structural columns to minimize ground impact, allowing the landscape to flow naturally beneath the building. Layered terraces follow the slope, integrating greenery, retaining walls, and circulation paths into a cohesive spatial experience.
The main living area opens seamlessly to an infinity-edge pool that visually merges with the horizon, reinforcing the connection between architecture and the ocean. Floor-to-ceiling glazing enhances natural light and ventilation, creating a calm, open atmosphere throughout the house.
Material selection focuses on a clean, modern palette—light-toned surfaces, glass, and subtle textures—allowing the surrounding landscape and sea view to remain the primary visual focus.
